Saturday is the first day of the week on which I can sleep in and I am always very happy to do so.
Except if you live in a city where winters are caracterized by constantly grey days. There, when the weather is starting to shake off the winter and you start to see a bit of sunlight, you become a child again, pacing up and down for doing finally somenthing new.
So, coming back to my sleep-in day, when I sleepily opened one eye and saw a clear blue sky I didn't care much about the fact that it was just 8:30. Before abandoning completely the idea of sleeping in more I checked the weather forecasts (because still, never saw a day in Frankfurt in which you could actually trust the weather) and, alas, the sun was in fact announced to stay just until 10.
In a strange joyful rush we left the apartment with wallet, keys and camera.
But no, you're not gonna see beautiful wintery/springly sunny pictures because the sun was, of course, reduced to a vague yellowy light on the backround - which actually makes photography even more difficult.
Frankfurt is a lot about skyscrapers, though reaching a more isolated area is really easy and this is a thing that I definitely like.
From the Radissons, one of the most well-known hotels (easy role given the size of its building), in 10 minutes you can be here:
Spring is slowly coming even if temperatures seem hard to let go that 0.
But it's always a nice contrast to see death and birth in nature during these seasons.
Sometimes I really miss those infinite fiels of peaches that you can find in Romagna. The street that from my house leads to the church is so pretty in spring, cornered by small perfect pink little flowers.
